The slow-travel rule

One place per month, not five cities a week. SlowTrip builds one home base per month with time for ordinary life between the interesting bits.

Step 1: choose how many months

Tell the planner how many months you have; it returns one base per month.

Step 2: pick a vibe and budget

Choose Beach, Mountains, City, Countryside or Historic and a monthly budget. The planner shows estimated monthly cost ranges for rent, food and getting around alongside a local routine.

Rates vary a lot. Our homes are listed at $400 per month in Comanche, Texas, $1,000 in Sarasota / Siesta Key, Florida, $1,000 in Boston, $500 in Durrës, Albania and $900 in Yunnan, China. Those are indicative home rates, not all-in budgets. Yunnan's rate includes three meals a day, which is why comparing what is included matters more than the headline number.

Step 4: read the range, then verify

Treat estimated monthly cost ranges as a starting point. Check official entry guidance, prices and availability before paying. SlowTrip is not a travel agent or booking platform.

Step 5: earn a stamp

Every 30 days in one place earns a passport stamp.

A few good questions

What does the planner need to plan a month?
Your available months, budget per month, preferred styles, passport country and any must-haves. The AI then builds one home base per month.
Is the estimated monthly cost a final price?
No. The planner returns estimated monthly cost ranges. Current prices, exchange rates and your personal spending can change the result.
Can I stay in one of SlowTrip's homes?
Our homes are suggested only when budget and style fit. Stay here links lead to slowstay.ai, where final prices, availability and booking terms are set.
What is in a weekly local routine?
An AI-suggested market, a church or community activity, a café to work from and one live-like-a-local task. Treat suggestions as starting points to verify.
How do I earn a passport stamp for the month?
Log the stay in the Slow Trip Passport: thirty days in one place earns one stamp, and the passport downloads as a shareable image.
